Fellow Members
We are now looking ahead to 2010 and the start of a new decade. I am sure we will be just as busy
as we were in the last one.
Looking back at 2009, the highlight for me was getting the Locker Room completed on time and budget.
As soon as the membership gave the go ahead at the AGM, everything swung into action and the end result is a locker
Room to be proud of. Again, I want to thank everyone who helped in any way, it was much appreciated.
2009 was also very
successful in golfing terms, with the first team and individual members being very successful. Let’s
hope 2010 continues the same way.
I know I am harping on again, but we still need to be very much aware of Health and Safety issues. Please
take no unnecessary chances anywhere on the course.
I hope Eric Legg our new Captain for 2010 has a successful year. He has a hard act to follow,
but I am sure that the Club will be fully behind him. Good luck Eric, and enjoy your year as it will be
past in no time. Congratulations to Bob Ozanne on his election as Vice Captain and I again trust Bob will
enjoy the next two years.
Congratulations to our Captain in 2009, Joe Gillen. He had a great year, winning back lots of
trophies and I know he really enjoyed all the success we had.
Finally, I want to wish Members and their families, all the best for 2010
both on and off the Golf Course.
