The Club operates a waiting list, and on average the waiting time for full membership is six to seven years.

The membership numbers are limited as we share the L’Ancresse links with The Royal Guernsey Golf Club and therefore restrictions are in place to avoid overcrowding.

When vacancies arise, a five day membership is offered to the person at the top of the waiting list. Five day membership is not limited to just weekdays – as it is at a lot of UK clubs – and includes all weekdays (except Thursday afternoon) – and in lieu of Thursday afternoon, Saturday Mornings. In addition members can tee off after 4pm on Sundays – not great for the winter, but an ideal end to the weekend during the summer.

Category one golfers get priority on the wait list, and if accepted are elevated to the top positions and therefore can become members well before the six/ seven year average.
